On Oct. 18, 2022 voters in the South Colonie Central School District approved two capital project propositions that together will result in more than $120 million in improvements across the district.

Veeder Construction

Veeder Construction Moves Into Final Stages

Work at Veeder Elementary School continues to make progress as renovation moves into the final stages. Classroom improvements remain underway, with paint touch-ups, ceiling and sink installations, as well as final cleaning progressing in several renovated spaces. Outside, granite curb installation has been completed as site improvements continue in preparation for the upcoming school year.

Sand Creek Auditorium underway

Sand Creek Middle School Construction is Underway

Construction at Sand Creek Middle School is officially underway. Locker room improvements are moving forward with ceiling removal, new storage room door frames, electrical upgrades, and shower area preparation currently in progress. In addition, the auditorium renovation has begun, with abatement preparation beginning as crews prepare the space for upcoming improvements.

Lisha Kill Reaches End Stages

Construction at Lisha Kill Middle School Reaches End Stages

Upgrades are completed in several key areas of Lisha Kill, including the fitness center, locker rooms, tennis courts, and nurse suite. Recent progress includes continued work in the main office and cafeteria, where final taping is underway in preparation for painting, as well as completion of fire-rated glass installation. Improvements in the gym are also moving forward, with door frame installation in progress and painting preparation underway.
